Each team of up to five developers will receive one Copilot+ PC with the Snapdragon® X Elite to develop a GenAI during the event. Spots in each region are limited. Only one project proposal submission per person is allowed.

Rules and Regulations
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration
- Open to both individuals and teams (up to four members per team)
- Residency: The hackathon in Bengaluru is open only to residents of the Republic of India.
- Exclusions:
- Individuals who are residents of any country other than the Republic of India.
- Individuals who have participated in the Edge AI Developer Hackathon series in another region.
- Individuals who are affiliated with any government agencies or state-owned entities.
- Individuals who are a Restricted Person.
Hackathon Rules:
- One proposal submission: Only one project proposal submission per person is allowed.
- Project Submission: Only registered participants are allowed to submit a project for evaluation at the end of the hackathon.
Project Submission Requirements:
To be considered for the prize, your project submission must meet the following criteria:
- The application must be provided in a GitHub repository with the following files in addition to your code:
- A README file with the following information:
- An app description
- Dev names and a way to connect (linkedin or email)
- Setup instructions from scratch, including dependencies if applicable
- Run and usage instructions
- An open-source license (refer to https://choosealicense.com for help choosing)
- A README file with the following information:
- The application must be runnable using your provided instructions
- The application and most components must run on the edge (hybrid edge/cloud is ok but majority should run locally)
- The GitHub repo must be submitted by the hackathon deadline
- A link to your GitHub repo must be provided via a Microsoft Form submission. Form will be shared at the beginning of the hackathon
- Nice to have, but not required, components include:
- Tests and testing instructions to verify the app setup
- Notes section containing additional information not covered in the app description
- References used while developing the app
- Well-commented code
Project Evaluation Criteria:
Each application submitted at the end of the hackathon will be evaluated based on 5 categories with a total of 100 achievable points. Additional details about the scoring/assessment framework within each category will be shared with participants prior to the event.
- Technical Implementation – 40 points
- Application Use-Case and Innovation – 25 points
- Local Processing and Privacy – 15 points
- Deployment and Accessibility – 10 points
- Presentation and Documentation – 10 points
Prize Award Rules:
- Number of Winners: Two teams will be awarded prizes at the conclusion of the hackathon.
- Top Award (Selected by Judges)
- Popularization Award (Voted on by all participating teams)
- Top Award Selection: The top award will be awarded to the team with the highest total score based on the evaluation criteria provided. Judges will evaluate each team across five categories, with a total of 100 possible points.
- Tiebreaking: If two or more submissions are tied, the tied submission with the highest score in the first applicable criterion listed above will be considered the higher scoring Submission. In the event any ties remain, this process will be repeated, as needed, by comparing the tied submissions’ scores on the next applicable criterion. If two or more submissions are tied on all applicable criteria, the panel of Judges will vote on the tied submissions.
- Popularization Award: The Popularization Award will be awarded based on peer voting. Each participating team will cast one vote for a team (other than their own) they believe deserves recognition. The team with the highest number of votes will receive the Popularization Award.
Voting Restrictions:
- Teams cannot vote for themselves.
- In the event of a tie, organizers will conduct a secondary round of voting or make the final decision at their discretion.
Eligibility for Prizes: Only teams that have submitted a project that meets the Project Submission Guidelines and provided a demo by the hackathon deadline will be eligible for either award.
Prizes:
- Top Award (selected from Judges): One (1) Asus VB 16 Snapdragon X laptop for each member of the team plus the opportunity to contribute to a blog post and live stream opportunities on Qualcomm Discord.
- Popularization Award (voted by all Shortlisted Entrants): One (1) POCO F6 Deadpool edition phone for each member of the team plus the opportunity to contribute to a blog post and live stream opportunities on Qualcomm Discord.
Agreement to Rules: By registering, participants acknowledge that you have read, fully understand, and unconditionally accept and agree to comply with these official rules, and any decisions made by the sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
